ABOUT

Aleksandra is an award winning writer/director. Her credits include the feature film ‘Dolls Can't Cry’ (starring BIFA awarded actress Lara Belmont) along with a series of shorts that have been screened at over 150 film festivals worldwide. These films have won multiple awards including the Young Artist Academy Awards in Los Angeles for Best Performance, 2nd Prize at the Raindance Short Film Competition and a finalist at the Sundance London..

“As a director, my natural strength is in telling intimate stories that examine the human condition. Sharing fleeting moments of beauty, pain, and kindness can often convey a deeper insight and understanding than epic actions. My aim overall is to make uplifting films that challenge prejudices and preconceptions and show beauty where it's least expected.”
